Initially focused on the import and distribution of the X30L EV commercial vehicle, the partnership now extends to the full SUV lineup under the historic SWM brand—long recognized in the motorcycle world.
A Legacy Reborn: The SWM-Shineray Alliance
SWM, originally established in the 1970s in Palazzolo Milanese by off-road enthusiasts, quickly rose to prominence by winning both “Motorcycle of the Year” in 1979 and a World Championship title in 1981. In 2014, the brand was integrated into Shineray Group—a global industrial conglomerate with expertise in producing Shineray motorcycle, MPV vehicle, Italian SUV, mini-trucks, and electric vehicles across facilities in China, Vietnam, and Italy.
New SUV Lineup Tailored for Diverse Buyer Needs
Campello SpA, acting as the official representative of SWM Motors in Italy, is set to launch a range of combustion-engine SUVs in September 2024:
•G01: A D-segment passenger vehicle measuring 4610 x 1855 x 1725 mm, available with manual or automatic transmission. Key features include 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, leather seats, and a 10-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
•G01F: A sportier variant of the G01 with aggressive styling and dual exhaust, offered exclusively with automatic transmission from €26,990.
•G03F: A practical 7-seater passenger carrying vehicle ideal for families, with a roomy trunk and versatile storage. Priced from €19,990, it appeals to those seeking 7 passenger vehicles with good gas mileage or affordable hybrid cars-like efficiency in a conventional powertrain.
•G05: The largest model in the range, this 7-passenger vehicle combines spaciousness with premium amenities such as ventilated front seats, a panoramic roof, and advanced infotainment. Starting at €23,890, it is positioned among the best 7-passenger vehicles in its class.
•All models feature 52-liter fuel tanks, 1.5L turbo or naturally aspirated engines, and are backed by a 5-year/100,000 km warranty. LPG versions will be available by end-2024.
Electric Commercial Vehicle Offering
Alongside the SUV launch, Campello continues to exclusively distribute the Shineray X30L EV—an electric commercial vehicle designed for both cargo and 7-passenger configurations. With a range of 305 km and fast-charging capability (20%–80% in 45 minutes), it responds to growing interest in commercial vehicle technology and electric vehicle mandate trends. The cargo van variant offers 4.8 m³ of space, priced from €29,020 (ex-VAT).
Strategic Market Positioning
This expanded partnership reinforces Campello’s holistic approach to mobility—from commercial vehicle financing options to passenger vehicle sales—and strengthens Shineray’s footprint in Europe. With competitive pricing and full specifications across both construction vehicles and family SUVs, the collaboration aims to capture value-driven segments of the market.
