On August 20, 2024, Chinese automaker Shineray signed an agreement to become the gold sponsor of Uzbekistan’s renowned football club, Pakhtakor. As a seasoned player in sports marketing, the Shineray Group has been actively engaged in football sponsorship since 2002, accumulating extensive experience in the field. This partnership is expected to further promote the development of football in Uzbekistan.
Simultaneously, Shineray, the commercial vehicle brand under Shineray Automobile, officially launched its new model—the T30. Priced at $15,100, the T30 is a dual-rear-tire version of the popular Shineray T3 series of mini-trucks in the Uzbekistan market. The vehicle measures 5010*1680*2000 mm with a wheelbase of 3050 mm and is equipped with a spacious cargo box sized 3100*1580*370 mm. Its chassis features a heavy-duty straight beam design paired with a leaf spring suspension system, and the rear axle is fitted with 175 wide-base heavy-duty tires, enhancing the vehicle’s load capacity. The powertrain includes a 1.5L engine developed with Italian technology, delivering a maximum power of 75 kW. Coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission and a high-ratio rear axle, it ensures robust power output under various conditions. Shineray offers a 3-year or 40,000-kilometer warranty for the T30, demonstrating strong confidence in product quality. This new model integrates a large cargo space, strong load-bearing capacity, and powerful performance to better meet the specific needs of local users.
The T30 is the latest achievement of Shineray’s efforts to deepen its presence in the Uzbekistan market. As a leading commercial vehicle brand in China, Shineray boasts strong R&D and production capabilities. Shineray Automobile operates R&D centers in Chongqing, China, and Milan, Italy, along with four major manufacturing bases worldwide, with an annual production capacity of 400,000 vehicles. Shineray products are exported to nearly 50 countries and regions, establishing the brand as a significant player in the global commercial vehicle market.
To cater to the Uzbekistan market, Shineray has developed several exclusive models. Vehicles such as the T30, T50S, and X30L are equipped with CNG systems specifically optimized for Uzbekistan. The T30 can safely use lower-octane 80-grade gasoline, while the X30L CNG and T50S have upgraded auxiliary fuel tank capacities to alleviate natural gas supply shortages during winter.
In terms of after-sales service, Shineray has stationed a team of experts in Uzbekistan and established five independent service points to provide users with efficient technical support. The brand has also partnered with local company STAG to offer professional gasoline-to-CNG conversion services for users.
This deep localization strategy has enabled Shineray to quickly capture market share. In 2023, Shineray’s monthly sales in Uzbekistan exceeded 1,000 units, making it the best-selling imported brand in the mini commercial vehicle segment. Moving forward, Shineray will continue to deepen its presence in the Uzbekistan market by launching more models tailored to local needs and refining its after-sales service system. The brand aims to further expand its market share and solidify its leading position in Uzbekistan’s commercial vehicle market.
The partnership between Shineray and Pakhtakor Football Club highlights the brand’s support for sports in Uzbekistan, injecting vitality into local football development. For consumers, Shineray is gradually becoming an active participant in the Uzbek community, demonstrating an understanding and respect for local culture and traditions. This involvement not only drives progress in local sports but also earns Shineray broader recognition in the Uzbek market, laying a solid foundation for the brand’s long-term growth.
